Itami Municipal Culture and Science Museum for Children was reopened in March 2013 with the newly installed MEGASTAR-IIB. The MEGASTAR-IIB installation featured sun/moon projectors and the new type of planets projectors. In addition to this, the Megastar-IIB-itami has a special twilight LED projectors surrounding it to simulate a lovely sunset and sunrise sky colors.
The Planetarium system in Itami features Stella Dome digital planetarium software integrated with the MEGASTAR optical system.
